Our focus on sustainability is necessary to keep the environment safe and return to Mother Nature what she gives us. We are proud to say that Cultivator Natural Products Pvt. Ltd. is among the pioneer companies in India that started certified cultivation of botanicals focusing on cultivating the land and raising crops in a sustainable way. We focus on conservation, maintaining the biodiversity and being energy efficient as well. Additionally, 95% of the organic input used by our company is manufactured from plant and process waste, as per the methods from ‘Vrikshayurveda – Ayurveda for Plants’.
Soil conservation is a major focus at our farms. We execute systematic boundary plantation, check works and bunds, and build soil health by using only 100 MT organic manure, all of which prevent soil erosion from the farms.
Since the manure consist only of organic waste, and biological materials along with beneficial microbes that release nutrients for crops, it increases sustainable production in an eco-friendly, pollution-free environment.
Commercial Cultivation of rare botanicals
Cultivator’s always think for the real sustainable cultivation of rare and demanded organic botanicals, organic certified guggulu, boswellia and shatavari are few of these plants. We can proudly say that we are the only company in the world having the commercial cultivation of these species which will keep the medicine system alive for the future generation. These botanicals are very difficult to grow and harvest. It needs many years patience to become productive.
We also grow many other demanded botanicals like milk thistle, chia, chamomile, hibiscus, pink rose etc.
We are proud to be known as a successful Zero Waste Company that focuses on reducing, reusing, recycling, and reclamation of all the waste material from offices, farms, our processing facility, and warehouse.
We send all the recyclable materials like paper, iron, aluminium, plastic, etc. to the recycle facilities, while all the organic waste is sent to a composting unit and later used in our organic cultivation farms.
Water conservation is another major focus on our farms and we have adopted the drip irrigation method to do so. Drip irrigation is a type of micro-irrigation that has the potential to save water and nutrients by allowing water to only drip slowly to the roots of plants.
This means we water the plants only as much as they need, and since there is very little water force, it saves the nutrients in the soil from being washed away. Additionally, the landscape of the farms has been made in such a way that all the rain water gets harvested and used as well.
We, at Cultivator, also make efforts to maintain the bio-diversity at each of our farms. Multi-level natural and chemical-free cropping makes our system work efficiently. This also attracts natural honey bees, butterflies, different varieties of birds, etc. to stay in our farms throughout the year.
Moreover, we also endeavour to sustainably cultivate rare and in-demand organic botanicals like guggulu, boswellia, and shatavari, to keep the ancient medicine system alive for future generations.
Energy Efficiency by Green Power
80% of our fields utilize solar energy, and even the drip irrigation method used is solar energy-powered. We have also installed a roof top solar power generation system in our processing facility and office. The lighting system has been changed from traditional high-power consumption lights to CFL and LED. The air-conditioner units are 3-5 star rated which are maintained and serviced quarterly for optimal performance and efficiency.
Our generator unit is also run on the mixture of bio-diesel made up of Jatropha curcas oil. In our offices, we have also installed company-wise LED flat screen monitors that use 65% less energy.
